Welcome to math.arch!
This site contains comments on papers posted on arXiv.org.
Everyone is welcome, especially those who have come to see comments on their own papers or to share their views on papers by others.
We believe that this site will provide authors with useful feedback, and will provide mathematically stimulating commentary for all readers.
Important This site is intended for an international audience, so, if possible, please write your comments in English.
Some technical points:
In order to add an abstract or to leave a comment you must register.
The "My archive" menu is a useful way to manage your papers and comments.
You can update your abstracts and comments at any time; the previous version will be preserved.
It would be helpful if you completed the "log message" section when changing abstracts or comments. This allows readers to see why changes were made. (To view all versions of a paper's abstract or comments go to the "Revisions" tab on the paper's page.)
To add the abstract of a paper you or your colleagues would like to comment on go to "Add paper". The uniqueness of the paper's link will be checked at that point, to avoid the same article being discussed in several places. You can broadcast abstracts you post here to the LiveJournal community math_arch. To do so you must become a member of math_arch and give your LiveJournal user name and password in the profile setup ("change" tab). Your password is stored in an encoded form; neither the administrator of this site nor anyone else has access to it.
In the article's Abstracts and comments you can use the Tex's symbols. Formulas must be enclosed in "\ [" on the right and "\ ]" on the left.
If you cannot find the subject area to which a paper belongs, you can go to the menu item "make a suggestion" and let us know which area you wish to add. Other suggestions about the site can be made there as well.
To check whether the abstract you wish to add is already here you can use the search facility. The contents of this site are indexed every two hours, so you should be able to find even recently posted items.
All user information, including links to the papers on which a user has commented, may be found in the user's profile. The user's "my archive" page can also be accessed from this profile.
